Crypto should be easy.
Whether you’re sending and receiving tokens or accessing your wallet across devices, it should be simple and intuitive.
Starting today, we're introducing usernames to Phantom, making web3 as user-friendly as web2.
Choose your username, own it forever
Names are personal. They help you get recognized, express yourself, identify others, and tell stories—of who you are, what you stand for, and what matters to you. And with our new custom usernames, you can do all that and more.
Rather than use a long, complex wallet address, you can create your own custom username—one that’s special to you and simple to others. But this isn’t just cosmetic.
Unlock a personalized wallet experience
With your username, you’ll unlock a personalized wallet experience with synced settings across all your devices.
This means you’ll be able to customize your name, avatars, and more, and your changes will reflect on both mobile and browser. If you switch from your phone to your desktop, or vice-versa, your settings will be synced so you can pick up where you left off without the hassle of setting your preferences over and over again.
Send and receive with ease
Crypto is better with friends. So, we’re making it easier to interact with them.
With our address book, you can add friends as contacts by username, rather than complex wallet addresses, making it easier to find them and send and receive crypto.
No more fat-fingering transactions…
Powerfully private
We believe you should have full control of your Phantom experience. So, usernames are 100% opt-in.
Don’t want to create a custom username? You can continue to use Phantom as you do already.
Want to dive in and try it out? You have that choice.
Usernames allow you to personalize your wallet experience without compromising your privacy.
- Choose any default public address to be associated with your username.
- Choose which wallets you want to sync across devices. These are never exposed to the public.
- Seed phrases and private keys are never synced to your username.
