Top Solana artists you need to know

Zac Glover
Top Solana artists

Solana’s art scene is on the rise. And it goes way beyond profile pics (PFPs). Every day there are new 1:1s, comics, pixel art, and other high-quality pieces to collect. But this wouldn’t be possible without the passionate group of creators behind them—the artists, illustrators, and animators. With that said, here are the top Solana artists, the ones you need to know.

    Degen Poet

    Twitter: @solanapoet

    Gallery: Exchange.Art

    Art form: Typewriter art

This typewriter artist turns keystrokes into poetic NFTs. How? Degen Poet clicks and clacks on a mechanical typewriter to create images out of text. After scanning them, DP enhances them with watercolor, marker, animation, and other techniques. The result? A unique art style that combines technology of the past and present, minted on Solana.

    John Lê

    Gallery: Exchange.Art

    Art form: Illustration

In one short year, John Lê went from anon to NFT don. Through hand-drawn comic art and stunning 1:1s, he’s become one of the top independent artists on Solana and helped establish its art scene. But that’s not the only reason why he’s beloved. He also supports emerging artists and advocates for NFTs in DC. For all these contributions, Lê has built an avid fan base and stellar reputation.

    Art form: Illustration

Hyblixx’s art reflects her life. As a Haitian-born orphan, raised by adoptive parents in the US, she pulls from her life experiences to create vivid worlds. And then let’s you in. As you enter, you’ll notice her distinct style. It uses vibrant colors to express her big emotions. And it may even help you make sense of your own.

    Art form: Art and illustration

SCUM is a Solana fan favorite. After illustrating for top NFT projects DeGods and Y00ts, SCUM created his own: Slimes. Slimes is a 1:1 PFP project that includes more than 50 Mexican-inspired PFPs. Since its listing on exchange.art, it’s done more than $250K in volume. Call that a SCUM bag.

    Joyce Loo

    Twitter: @joiceloo_art

    Gallery: Exchange.Art

Art form: Motion design and illustration

Joyce Loo is one of the most admired artists on Solana. For good reason. The Taiwanese artist creates striking designs that combine various shapes, forms, and movements. They’re so powerful that you don’t look at them, you experience them. And they leave you in awe.

    Zen0

    Twitter: @zen0m

    Gallery: Exchange.Art

    Art form: Pixel art

Zen0 is a pixel pusher. He creates low-resolution art that tells stories in as few pixels as possible—which is far harder than it looks. He uses this rare talent to create his own pixelated projects (Zen0verse, Monster Friends, etc.) and contribute to others. He’s worked with Solana Monkey Business, Famous Fox Federation, Tensor, The BOO Monsters, and more.
